Hats, Heels and High Tea
10th March 2011, Mills Reef, Tauranga, New Zealand.

Congratulations to Tauranga Alzheimer’s Society for putting on such a fantastic event and raising over $5,000 last Thursday afternoon. We were blessed with a beautiful day for a “proper” high tea with fine bone china teacups, a room full of gorgeous generous women adorned with hats and fascinators, and a smattering of chivalrous gents. I am so proud to have played a small part in this lovely afternoon with my essensual baking demonstration, “The Art of Seductive Baking,” and am grateful for the positive feedback and support I have received for my sensual approach to baking, both on the day and afterwards. A highlight is always to speak with the audience and I was delighted to learn about other aphrodisiacs and sensual baking experiences. Baking is very much alive and well in New Zealand. My contribution to the auction, six “Plaisir d’amour Boxes” with ingredients kindly sponsored by SimpliFood at Mount Maunganui, all sold. I hoped they would look like little boxes of seductive treats… and I think they did. Congratulations again to Jane Moore and her team at Tauranga Alzheimer’s, it has been delightful working with you and a very heartwarming experience.
